Research

Measurable Objectives...Realistic Results

Key Concepts Ltd. is committed to the philosophy that an organization’s communication activities must be tied to its business objectives, and that the contribution made must be measurable. In keeping with that commitment, we offer capability in a variety of research methods centred on “best practices” in communication. These are methods which can be used as formative research in developing communication plans, or as evaluative research in determining communication program outcomes. We provide both primary and secondary research services.

  • KeyMatrix™: KeyMatrix™ is a model for evaluating the bottom-line impact of communications. It focuses on evaluating the “value links” between communication activities and the development of key relationships with investors, customers, employees, and communities -- those relationships that mean the most to organizational success!

  • Formal Research: The company offers resident capability to produce survey questionnaires designed to maximize validity and reliability, and measure attitudes, evaluate behavior, and gauge levels of knowledge or understanding. We have resident capability (SPSS 10.0) to analyze surveys with any number of respondents.

  • Informal Research: The company can set up informal research programs for clients and can assist in analyzing the results, or we can perform an analysis of such materials as media clippings and other literature, organizational archives, and audience feedback materials.

  • Focus Groups: We are pleased to be able to provide facilitation services for focus groups, including the development of a question schedule, participant selection, facilitation of the focus group, and analysis of the results.

  • Audits: Key Concepts provides resident capability to carry out communication, public relations, and social audits of internal and external audiences. Services include the design and management of the audit project, including design of the research instrument and analysis of results. See the inserts in the back of this package!

  • Primary Research Interests: Key Concepts is interested in identifying partners for research projects to be carried out in organizations for the purpose of furthering general knowledge of public relations and communication processes and outcomes.
